Year 7 / 8 English
Classes
These group classes strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, and comprehension, providing a strong basis for middle and senior English subjects.
In Year 7/8 classes, we provide targeted lessons that focus on building confidence in essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and critical thinking. Our classes are taught directly from the Australian Curriculum, in preparation for selective entry school exams.
Year 10 Advanced English
Classes
These group classes focus on enhancing literature, language, and literacy skills for advanced students committed to their learning.
In Year 10 classes, we focus on extension literary analysis of both classical and contemporary texts and understanding language conventions and the use of language to convey meaning. Our classes are taught directly from the Australian Curriculum to push students into high achievement brackets for VCE.
VCE English Language
Classes
These group classes focus on maximising VCE results by providing in-depth knowledge and honing transferrable skills that will support long-term academic success.
In VCE classes, we teach directly from the VCAA VCE study design, mastering the three sections of the VCE exam, prioritising content consolidation, extensive practice writing and deep diving into metalanguage understanding and language analysis.
